Irish
Properties County Sligo
Here is a short description about Ireland and County Sligo where we are
situated.
The
landscape
The
North West of Ireland is very picturesque. This rural,
wild and peaceful place has a varied and rich kaleidoscope
of colourful landscape. Sligo's numerous lakes include
Lough Gill, Lough Arrow and Glencar combined with limestone
topped mountains such as Ben Bulben and Knocknarea
where one finds some of Ireland’s finest scenery.
The Ox Mountains form a backdrop to the coastal plain
to the resorts of strandhill with its long sandy beach
(popular for surfing), Rosses Point a famous Golfing
resort, Mullaghmore also a long sandy beach ideal for
its water sports and swimming and to the south the
lovely Enniscrone resort.
There
is an array of prehistoric dwellings dotted throughout
Sligo, numerous tombs, stone forts, ring forts and crannogs.
The
Climate
The Irish
Climate is very mild due to the Gulf Stream so our
winters are not too cold and our summers not to hot.
An Irish shower should not stop a visitor from enjoying
all the places of interest and our numerous pubs will
always welcome you in! Just make sure to bring a raincoat
and a good pair of walking shoes! Then you are ready
to explore our Emerald Jewel.
